The latest boxing news from Brent

Unbeaten Wembley lightweight Youssef Khoumari will be the first of the Brent fighters to enter the ring when they new London season gets underway on Saturday.

The 22-year-old will face Michael Mooney over four three-minute rounds on a Sinfield Star promotion at York Hall this weekend.

The former IQ Neasden man has won all four of his professional bouts to date and will be looking to add to that record in his next contest against Mooney on Saturday.

Khoumari was last in action in March when he recorded a points victory over Kristian Laight at York Hall.

That was the third bout in succession that saw the 22-year-old taken the distance, so Khoumari may be looking to end things early against Mooney on Saturday.

And if he can, the lightweight knows that will see him maintain his ascent up the rankings as he continues to develop as a fighter in the pro game.

It looks set to be the start of a busy period.
