Greelands Lane club lost 18-10 to Finsbury Park on Saturday

Hendon face another week off from Herts/Middlesex One action with no league match scheduled this weekend.

The Greenlands Lane outfit are not due to play again in the league until November 17 when they make the trip to mid-table Staines.

Hendon head into their mini-break having given a good account of themselves in an 18-10 defeat to high-flying north London rivals Finsbury Park last weekend.

Ross Williams dotted down for the Greenlands Lane club’s solitary try in the defeat as they pushed Park hard.

Only a late try from Park prevented Hendon from taking a losing bonus point, and head coach Phil Smith was happy with the display, despite the result.

“I’m very proud of the players for their great effort in taking a team who were league leaders to the wire, but I’m disappointed to have come away with nothing to show,” he said.

Hendon will hope to use their break to their benefit.
