Event to take place in Gladstone Park on October 6

Queens Park Harriers are hosting a special event on October 6 with the aim of helping people improve their mental health.

The #RunAndTalk event is a 5k run, jog or walk that encourages those taking part to chat throughout.

The event will take place over the route followed by the Gladstone parkrun on October 6, with those wishing to attend asked to arrive at 8.45am for a 9am start.

The meeting place is at the junction of Anson Road and Park Avenue North near the south east of the park.

Studies have long shown that physical exercise and conversation can be of great benefit to those with mental health issues.

It is hoped plenty will be in attendance for the event, which is being run in partnership with RunTogether as part of their #RunAndTalk campaign in aid of mental health, and that plenty of noise will be made too.
