Wembley’s Pride Judo Club is opening its doors to welcome newcomers to the sport.

Judo lessons are held on Friday evenings at the Ark Elvin Academy – formerly known as the Copland School – on Wembley High Road (HA9 7DU) and beginners are invited.

Games techniques are held between 6-7pm, with Randori games following on from 7-8pm.

Sensei Lionel Hibbert is the club’s coach and a senior international, having represented Great Britain for 13 years and won British titles.

He said: “New students are welcome to come and take part in this exciting and challenging sport. Come down and try it out!”
