Archant

Wealdstone have moved to bolster their striking options with the signing of Dan Fitchett from Sutton United.

The 25-year-old joins from the National League outfit on a contract until the end of next season

Sutton signed Fitchett in January 2015 from Aldershot, who he had joined in the summer from Salisbury.

In his last campaign with the U’s, he became the first player since the 2000-01 season to score over 20 league goals for the club and he also made his 100th appearance in the FA Cup tie against Wimbledon.

A regular scorer during his three years at Salisbury, he scored 16 goals at Conference Premier level in the 2013-14 season and featured in the England C squad.

He was previously with Wycombe after originally being a youth player at Aldershot.
