Stones set for final two friendlies before beginning league campaign

Wealdstone finalise their preparations ahead of the new Vanarama National League South term with their final two pre-season friendlies this week.

Stones welcome Vanarama National League side Bromley on Saturday, before hosting a Cardiff City XI on Tuesday night.

Both games will give boss Bobby Wilkinson one final chance to run his eyes over his squad before beginning their league campaign at home to Weston-super-Mare on August 4.

The Grosvenor Vale outfit have been boosted ahead of the new campaign by the return of forward Joe White on loan from Sky Bet League Two side Stevenage.

White netted six goals in 17 appearances for Wealdstone in the 2016/17 season while on loan from Dagenham & Redbridge, who sold the forward to Boro in January.

The attacker netted for Stones in a 5-2 friendly win at Evo-Stik South Premier South side Staines Town on Tuesday, which followed a 1-1 draw with Vanarama National League outfit Aldershot Town on Saturday.
