West Brom head coach Tony Pulis has strengthened his midfield options with the loan signing of Sandro from QPR.

The former Tottenham midfielder, who has made 11 appearances for Rangers this term, will stay at the Hawthorns until the end of the season, with the Baggies having the option to make the move permanent in the summer.

“We’re delighted to bring such a quality player to the club,” Pulis told the club’s official website.

“We’ve got a few injuries and knocks at the moment so we’re pleased to be able to strengthen the squad.

“Sandro has a great pedigree and will be a good addition to our squad.”

Brazilian Sandro arrived in England when signing for Tottenham in 2010, and made 81 appearances in four years at White Hart Lane, before switching to QPR.

The 26-year-old could not prevent Rangers from losing their Premier League status last term, and is delighted to return to the top flight with West Brom.

“I spoke to the manager and was impressed,” Sandro said. “This is a big club and I feel happy to be here and very happy to be back in the Premier League.

“I believe I have a lot to offer. It was my first day today and I’m looking forward to being part of this family.

“As a player I play with my heart, I give all I can on the pitch - all the time I want to win the ball and play the ball.

“I hope the fans will see the best of me during my time.”
