Ravel Morrison is set to rejoin QPR on loan deal until the end of the season

QPR have agreed personal terms with Ravel Morrison, who is set to rejoin the club on loan from Serie A giants Lazio.

The 23-year-old, who scored six goals in 17 appearances during a loan spell at Loftus Road in 2014, had been training with Rangers over the past week in a bid to earn a move.

And now Rangers are close to securing Morrison on a temporary basis until the end of the season, with a view to making the deal permanent in the summer.

In an exclusive interview with the Times in September, director of football Les Ferdinand revealed that the door wasn’t closed on a return for Morrison.

The former Manchester United starlet recently spent time at Championship rivals Wigan, but a deal failed to materialise.

Lazio have been keen to offload Morrison, with the latter’s heart set on a return to London.

Meanwhile, QPR have completed the signing of Fulham striker Matt Smith, and Pawel Wszolek is also set to pen a long-term deal at Loftus Road, after the club activated a clause in his loan deal with Hellas Verona to make the move permanent.
