Fabio Capello has resigned as England manager after a disagreement with the FA over their decision to strip John Terry of the captaincy.
The FA made the decision because Terry faces trial over an alleged racist slur towards QPR defender Anton Ferdinand – the 31-year-old denies the charges.
During his time with England the Italian won 67 per cent of games as manager.
However, while his record in qualifying was excellent the performances at the World Cup were poor, with defeat to Germany ending England’s interest in the last 16.
Are you pleased that Capello has left the job or did you think he was the man to lead England into Euro 2012?
