Midfielder joins Stones following his release from Plymouth Argyle earlier this summer

Wealdstone have signed midfielder David Ijaha, formerly of Plymouth Argyle of League One, following a successful loan spell.

The 27-year-old featured for Stones during pre-season, and clearly impressed manager Gordon Bartlett enough to earn a permanent move.

Ijaha has experience of the National League South having played in it for Whitehawk, before joining the Pilgrims in July 2016.

The midfielder made just seven appearances in all competitions for Derek Adams’ side, before being released earlier this summer.

Ijaha could make his debut for Wealdstone tonight when they make the trip to St Albans City.

One man who will not be featuring at Clarence Park is Liam Harwood after he left Stones.

The defender has recently seen a change in his work circumstances, which has made travelling difficult.

“We wish Liam all the best,” read a club statement that confirmed both Harwood’s departure from Grosvenor Vale and Ijaha’s arrival to bolster Bartlett’s squad.
