Hendon were held to a 1-1 draw on their trip to Merstham in the Bostik Premier, despite the Silver Jubilee Park outfit taking the lead in Surrey.

The Greens went ahead in the 20th minute when Niko Muir opened the scoring from the spot for his first goal in the league since a hat-trick at Burgess Hill Town on February 3.

However, parity was restored 19 minutes later when Simon Cooper found the target for the Moatsiders.

Neither side was able to find a winner in the second half, as the teams shared the spoils.

The result sees Gary McCann’s remain in the play-off places, currently sitting fifth in the table.
