Greens visit Bostik South Central sides Uxbridge and Cheshunt this week

Hendon hit the road this week as they carry on building towards the new Evo-Stik South Premier South season with two more friendlies.

The Greens head for Uxbridge of the Bostik South Central on Saturday, before visiting the Reds’ divisional rivals Cheshunt on Tuesday.

Manager James Gray will hope the games this week bring about at least one win after failing to pick up a victory in two friendlies last week.

The Silver Jubilee Park outfit drew 1-1 at home to Royston Town of the Evo-Stik South Premier Central on Tuesday having lost 3-2 at home to Bostik Premier side Haringey Borough on Saturday.

Last week also saw Gray bolster his Hendon squad with the arrival of four more players.

Full-back Lewis Hobbs and Kai Davis, centre-back Romario Jonas and midfielder Matty Newman have all signed up ahead of the new term.

Josh Walker, meanwhile, has joined Vanarama National League side Barnet after 17 goals for the Greens last term.
