Greens striker steps up to National League after netting 40 goals last term

Hendon forward Niko Muir has joined National League outfit Hartlepool United for an undisclosed fee.

Muir was the Greens top goalscorer last season, netting 40 goals in all competitions, taking his tally to 51 in 90 games for the Silver Jubilee Park side over the past two seasons.

The forward had been attracting interest from clubs in the Football League and had a trial with Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers last term.

But Muir has now made the switch to the north east where he will hope to fire Pools to promotion.

While Muir has departed, Hendon have made one addition to their forward line by signing Marvin Morgan, who incidentally lists Hartlepool among his former clubs.

The 35-year-old, who runs his own fashion label called Fresh Ego Kid, arrives from Bath City of the National League South.

A club statement read: “We are delighted to welcome Marvin to the club, and we are sure that his experience will be invaluable as we get ready for the season ahead.”
