The Greens had a frustrating time in the FA Cup last weekend with their game called off late on

Hendon will hope to put a bizarre week in the FA Cup behind them when they visit Dorchester Town in the Evo-Stik South Premier South on Saturday.

The Greens were due to entertain Phoenix Sports in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup last Saturday.

However, news came through on Friday night that the cup tie had been postponed owing to an investigation into Sports fielding an ineligible player in the previous round.

That left James Gray’s men without a game, with all at Silver Jubilee Park frustrated by the late cancellation.

With a trip to Dorchester in the league to come this weekend, Hendon will look to continue their fine league form.

The Greens are unbeaten in the league so far in September and will hope to extend that run away to the Magpies this weekend.

And if they do success in Dorset, it is sure to make up for the frustration endured by Gray’s men last Saturday.
