Bostik Premier: Hendon 1 (Nathaniel-George 66) Leatherhead 4 (Sotiriou 2, Gallagher 41, Derry 51, Midson 52)

Hendon remain on the lookout for their first win in 2018 after a 4-1 defeat at home to Leatherhead in the Bostik Premier.

The Greens fell behind in just the second minute when Ruel Sotiriou, on loan from National League side Leyton Orient, found the target for the visitors.

With four minutes left in the half, Gary McCann’s men fell further behind when Daniel Gallagher doubled the Tanners’ lead.

Goals in the 51st and 52nd minute from Tom Derry and Jack Midson saw Leatherhead move to 4-0 and put the game beyond the Silver Jubilee Park outfit’s reach.

Ashley Nathaniel-George pulled one back for Hendon with a fine effort in the 66th minute, but it proved little more than a consolation goal.

Having gone the whole of January without a success, McCann’s men will hope to start February with a win at Burgess Hill Town on Saturday.

Hendon: Addai, Murphy, Gordon, Wise, Bray, Lee, Nathaniel-George, MacLaren (Cole 66), White (Walker 66), Muir, Joseph (Campbell-Young 84).

Subs: Tingey, Diedhiou.

Leatherhead: Oualah, Clohessy, Gallagher, Arthur, Minshull, Pollock, Theobalds (Richards 74), McManus, Derry, Midson (Wood 87), Sotiriou (Williams-Bowers 81).

Subs: Nnamani.

Attendance: 181.
