Velocity Trophy first round: Harrow Borough 1 (Richards 3) Metropolitan Police 3 (Kozakis 49, Williams 69, Collins 87)

Harrow Borough are out of the Velocity Trophy after a 3-1 loss at home to Bostik Premier rivals Metropolitan Police on Tuesday night.

Boro had started brightly at the Earlsmead Stadium, with Adam Richards putting the hosts ahead in the third minute.

That was how things stayed until half time, but four minutes into the second period, Alex Kozakis drew Police level.

The Met then took the lead for the first time in the 69th minute when Sam Williams found the target.

Charlie Collins sealed the win for the visitors three minutes from time to knock Harrow out.

It was a first defeat of the season for Steve Baker’s men, who last weekend maintained their perfect start to the league season with a 2-0 win at Leatherhead after goals from Anthony O’Connor and Shaun Preddie.

Boro host Tonbridge Angels on Saturday, before making the short trip to local rivals Hendon for a Bank Holiday Monday clash.
