Middlesex County Division One: St Panteleimon 2 AEK London 2

St Panteleimon remain unbeaten in Middlesex County Division One after a 2-2 draw with rivals AEK London.

The ‘London Greek Derby’ was fiercely contested, with both teams keen to claim bragging rights having already played against each other in pre-season.

The Saints endured a disastrous start to the match, with AEK taking the lead inside three minutes.

AEK were able to add a second before half time to leave St Panteleimon with a mountain to climb.

The half-time team talk for Saints, though, seemed to work wonders as they came out much improved in the second half.

After already having a goal disallowed, St Panteleimon pulled one back through Michael Frangeskou after a great cross by Igli Sevaj.

The Saints then restored parity when Jack Smith struck from the spot after his side were awarded a penalty.

Neither side were able to find a winner in the minutes that remained.
