Champions Brent finished their Under-13 league campaign with a superb 14-2 win against Harrow.

Dominic D’Souza scored four goals and Drillon Krasniqi bagged a hat-trick as Brent ran riot, scoring 10 goals in a scintillating second half performance.

D’Souza almost scored in the fifth minute when through on goal but fired wide.

He made no mistake with his second effort of the game, though, picking up a neat Krasniqi pass and firing a low shot that went in off the post to put Brent 1-0 up.

On 12 minutes Ghellor Kweme won the ball on the left and picked out Krasniqi in the Harrow six-yard box to slot home his side’s second goal.

D’Souza, Kweme and Shammer Swaby all had efforts on the Harrow goal that went close before Krasniqi scored his second goal of the game direct from a free kick.

Kweme made it 4-0 just before half-time when the ball was not cleared in the Harrow penalty area and he fired home.

Harrow started the second half brightly and forced an early corner before pulling a goal back with a shot from outside the penalty area.

Brent responded and D’Souza scored his second goal on 43 minutes, firing home after Swaby’s initial shot on goal was well saved.

Two minutes later D’Souza scored his hat-trick. Again it was the impressive Krasniqi who provided the assist, laying on a superb through ball which D’Souza took in his stride before calmly beating the Harrow keeper.

Swaby made it 7-1, beating two defenders and finishing superbly before Ahmed Mahdi hit the eighth.

D’Souza scored his fourth goal when he redirected Krasniqi’s shot on goal to put Brent 9-1 up.

Harrow continued to play their part and scored a second goal.

But Brent were determined to finish off their league campaign in style and Krasniqi completed his hat-trick, heading home from a D’Souza corner on 57 minutes to make it 10-2.

Ismail Mansour’s thunderbolt flew in from just inside the Harrow penalty area and Mahdi made it 12 with perhaps the goal of the match, lobbing the goalkeeper from just inside the Harrow half.

Swaby scored his second, dribbling past three defenders before smashing the ball home, and Cowen scored Brent’s final goal to make the final score 14-2.

Manager Keith Young said: “What an incredible way to celebrate being league champions. We’ve ended the fixtures in style.

“Recently the Brent Under-14 team scored nine goals in a game and now this side have beaten that goal record by scoring 14.

“We’ve had a fantastic season so far, the boys have worked so hard to improve on their game. We were without four of our players who have been signed by Tottenham Hotspur, Queen’s Park Rangers and Southampton – that’s why I’m so proud of the boys for how they played.

“We also added three new boys to the squad – Ismail, Javarn and Ahmed. Two of them were on the score sheet.

“Next season the challenge will be to try and maintain the same standards. All the other boroughs will be wanting to beat us.”

Brent are away to Blackheath on Saturday in the League Cup quarter finals.
