Cricklewood Wanderers reach the Buildbase FA Vase First Round with stunning 7-2 victory against Rayners Lane.

Cricklewood Wanderers FC have reached the First Round of the Buildbase FA Vase for the second time in the club’s short history, defeating Rayners Lane on Saturday in the Second Qualifying Round.

A free-flowing performance saw a 3-1 half-time lead extended with five second half goals, the superior fitness of the Cricklewood players paying dividends as the minutes ticked on.

Goals came courtesy of Curtis Tunstall, Anthony Emeh, Matthew Hodgson, Marcus Gibbs Greenidge and a hat-trick from Ashley Flanore.

This was Cricklewood’s second 7-2 scoreline against opposition from a higher division in this year’s competition, having defeated Step 5 club Stotfold in the First Qualifying Round.

Cricklewood travel to South East London to play Cray Valley PM FC in the next round after the draw was made at Wembley on Monday morning.

The tie is to be played on Saturday, October 21.
