Stones boss had been linked with a move away after speaking to two unnamed sides regarding their managerial positions

Wealdstone manager Bobby Wilkinson has moved to end speculation linking him with a move away from the Vanarama National League South side by signing a contract extension with Stones.

The boss of the Grosvenor Vale outfit had been linked with a move away from Wealdstone after the club allowed him to speak to two unnamed teams regarding their managerial positions.

Wilkinson, though, has turned down the chance to move on by extending his deal with Stones and is excited about what the future holds at Grosvenor Vale.

“I am proud and delighted to have signed a new contract with Wealdstone,” said Wilkinson.

“Together with my chairman Peter Marsden, the board, my management team and players we have a collective desire and commitment to achieve success with this club and that is what we are working so hard to achieve.

“With our great fans we have the belief to drive the club forward as one and achieve the success we all want. We are buzzing!”
