ENGLAND women's international Casey Stoney has urged fans to get down to QPR on Thursday night for the Three Lions' World Cup clash with Austria.

Hope Powell's team face the Austrians on the Loftus Road turf (kick-off 7pm) before meeting Spain next week and need to top their group to stay in contention for next year's finals in Germany.

Defender Stoney, who watched Rangers play Swansea last weekend alongside England team-mate Dunia Susi, said: "The pitch looks lovely, I'm looking forward to playing on it.

"I have played at QPR before with Charlton and we lost the FA Cup final to Arsenal, so I'm hoping for a better result this time. The more people we can get supporting us the better.

"There are a lot of people that don't watch women's football, but this is the top level - hopefully we'll get a good atmosphere, lots of goals and they'll be surprised by the standard."

Tickets for the Austria game are £5 (adults) and £2.50 (concessions), available from the QPR box office. Call 08444 777007 or email boxoffice@qpr.co.uk
