High-flying Hendon host Bostik Premier rivals Tooting & Mitcham this weekend after climbing up to second in the table.

The Greens bounced back from letting a two-goal lead slip to lose 3-2 at Folkestone on Saturday to beat Staines Town 3-0 in midweek.

And Niko Muir maintained his fine goalscoring form with another brace, netting either side of Zak Joseph’s 78th-minute effort to take his tally to 12 in 11 league and cup games.

Muir had scored two goals in quick succession against Invicta at the weekend to put Gary McCann’s men on top in the second half.

But Adam Yusuff hit back from the penalty spot, before Hendon’s Josh Walker hit a post.

Josh Vincent got the hosts back on terms and Joe Taylor netted their winner with six minutes remaining.

Greens are set to visit Enfield Town on Tuesday, while the club’s youngsters visit Boreham Wood in the FA Youth Cup on Thursday.
