Greens saw trip to Lowestoft Town called off on Tuesday and threw away two-goal lead to draw at Needham Market last weekend

Hendon will be keen to bounce back at home to Folkestone Invicta in the Bostik Premier on Saturday after a week of disappointments.

The Greens had been due to visit Lowestoft Town in the league on Tuesday night, but saw that match postponed because of a waterlogged pitch, with the match now set to take place on March 6.

That followed a 3-3 draw at Needham Market on Saturday in which Gary McCann’s men squandered a two-goal lead.

The Silver Jubilee Park outfit conceded the opening goal in the 12th minute with Jeremiah Kamanzi putting Market ahead.

However, Hendon were level 21 minutes later with Josh Walker finding the target for the visitors.

Ashley Nathaniel-George then put the Greens ahead just five minutes into the second half.

Three minutes later, Nathaniel-George added his second of the match to put McCann’s men in what seemed a commanding position at 3-1 up.

Adam Mills pulled a goal back for Needham in the 60th minute to half the deficit at Bloomfields.

And Market were level seven minutes from time when Mills added his second of the match.

Despite some chances for both teams, neither could find a winner as the game ended in a draw.

It was the not first time Hendon had let a two-goal lead slip this term, having done so in the reverse fixture with Folkestone back in September.

A brace from Niko Muir had put the Greens two goals up early in the second half, before Invicta hit back three times to triumph.

McCann will hope there is no repeat of his team gifting away two-goal leads again this weekend as they look to firm up their spot in the play-off places.

Away from the league campaign, Hendon have a Middlesex Senior Cup semi-final against Barnet of League Two to look forward to next month.

A date has now been set for the tie, which will take place at Silver Jubilee Park on February 21 with a 7.45pm kick-off.

Victory against the Bees would take Hendon into their first Middlesex Senior Cup final since the 2008-09 season, when they lost 21 to AFC Hayes.

The date of the semi-final means the trip to Staines Town in the league, which was due to take place on February 20, has been postponed, with a date still to be confirmed for the new fixture.
