Greens keen to get back to winning ways after loss at Staines Town on Tuesday

Hendon will bid to topple big-spending Billericay Town in the Bostik Premier on Saturday as the Greens looks to get their play-off push back on track.

Gary McCann’s men suffered a chastening 4-0 loss at Staines Town on Tuesday night which saw them drop out of the top five in the league.

That followed a pleasing 2-0 success at struggling Tooting & Mitcham United on Saturday, with Ashley Nathaniel-George and Zak Joseph on target for the Silver Jubilee Park side.

The Greens will hope to get back to winning ways on Saturday against Billericay, but know it will be tough against a talented Blues side.

The Essex club can call on the likes of former Premier League footballers Jamie O’Hara and Kevin Foley, while they also have hot shot Jake Robinson in their ranks.

When the teams met at the AGP Arena in October, McCann’s men were beaten 4-3 in a thriller despite a Nathaniel-George brace and a goal from Keagan Cole.
