AFCW penned the opposition inside their own half at the start of Sunday’s semi-final, but they created little until midway through the first period when Clarke collected Anthony Byfield’s throw, only to shoot wide.

Kyle Matthew eventually set up the opening goal when he won the ball in the centre of the park and played a lofted pass through for Carter, who got his head to the ball before the advancing goalkeeper.

Further chances went begging before half-time as Karan Patel and Jaevon Braithwaite set up openings for Carter, who was off target, while Novell Bruce had an effort saved.

After the break, Carter’s finish was ruled out for offside before Bruce made it 2-0, rifling into the roof of the net after Ezeani Inyama had beaten two defenders to set him up.

But Fab Football hit back almost immediately as a quick throw-in caught the AFCW defence off guard and Kai Hippolyte-Patrick could not prevent them from making it 2-1.

AFCW restored their two-goal cushion when Renell Scott and Ezeani Inyama combined in midfield and Jelani Inyama moved the ball on for Clarke to smash home.

Fab Football responded again with a close-range finish to make it 3-2, but AFCW showed character and snatched their fourth goal 10 minutes from time when Braithwaite won possession and Clarke played Carter in to slot past the keeper.

And AFCW’s place in the final was confirmed when Scott sent Ezeani Inyama clear to tee up Clarke for his second goal and his side’s fifth.

In the Harrow Youth League, Sellassie Beckford hit a hat-trick for AFC Wembley under-14s – but his goals were little more than a consolation as they crashed 6-3 to Hillingdon Borough after a poor first-half showing.

AFCW under-15s drew 1-1 with Pitshanger, but the under-nines suffered a 6-1 defeat against Parkfield and the under-sevens went down 5-3 to TFA Totteridge, despite a double from Zakariya El Hannach and an own goal.

AFCW’s under-10 B team triumphed 9-3 at Mill Hill Village, with Kaylan Hentzen grabbing a hat-trick. Declan Nelson and Ghellor-Mboma Kweme both scored twice, with Ayman Farah and Yunus Mumin also on target.

And goals from Omar Thomas-Fearon and Darren Abbey secured a 2-2 draw for the under-12 B team in their top-of-the-table Division Two clash with Spartans.

Oran Wells hit a late winner as Gibbons Wreckers under-10s edged to a 3-2 victory over Parkfield Youth after scoring all five goals in a thrilling encounter.

Captain Jay Hector fired GW into the lead after 15 minutes, drilling into the bottom corner after a spell of pressure on the Parkfield goal, and the scoreline remained unchanged at the break.

But Parkfield equalised five minutes into the second half as their captain made a storming run and cut the ball back across goal, where it deflected in off the shin of GW defender Freddie Douglas.

Parkfield then went in front when Jack McNeill sliced a clearance into his own net, but the Wreckers hit back as Sekani Melford released Kasey Clifford, who dribbled into the area and fired low beyond the keeper.

And the decisive goal arrived with just three minutes remaining as Hanad Hassan played a clever pass to Wells, who fired in from six yards.

Second-half goals from Thomas Gorman and Bradley Mills-Faulkner earned Gibbons Wreckers under-nines a 2-0 victory as they rode their luck against Just Sports.

The first half was dominated by Just Sports and they were unfortunate not to take the lead, but were thwarted by goalkeeper Max Cassidy and Quincy Nwachkwu’s determined defending.

Wreckers improved after the break and Bradley Mills-Faulkner forced a save from the keeper before the outstanding Daisy Cassidy won a corner, which was cleared for Gorman to volley in through a crowd of players.

Solid defending from Bradley Corcoran and Aaron Mills-Faulkner kept Just Sports at bay and Bradley Mills-Faulkner sealed the win late on, smashing in the rebound after the keeper had saved his initial shot.

Man of the match Gabriel O’Flynn was among the scorers as Forest United under-14s continued their recent run of form by beating Pinner Albion 4-0.

Kwabena Appiah and Musa Karmoun netted to give Forest a 2-0 lead and O’Flynn added his name to the scoresheet before the break.

Richard Da Silva Cruz hit a fourth goal in the second half to wrap up the victory for the Kenton club.
