Archant London sat down with tipster Martin Girdwood to go through his tips for day three of this year’s event

This year’s Cheltenham Festival is, sadly, already halfway through, with plenty of brilliant action so far.

With the third day billed as ‘St Patrick’s Thursday’, punters will hope the luck of the Irish is with them.

Archant London sat down with tipster Martin Girdwood of Girdys Gee Gees to get his naps for day three.

In the third race of the day, the Ryanair Chase at 2.50pm, Martin has plumped for Un De Sceaux, which is available at a best price of 11-8 at the time of writing.

Martin has also offered a tip in the fourth race, the Sun Bets Stayers’ Hurdle at 3.30pm, and is backing Sam Spinner, available at 4-1, for glory.

With the end of this year’s Festival fast approaching, punters will be looking for good bets on day three of Cheltenham to add to their winnings.
