Wembley welterweight Gary Corcoran recorded the first stoppage of his professional career as he overcame journeyman Matt Seawright at York Hall on Friday.

The 21-year-old, who is the younger brother of former English super-featherweight champion Billy Corcoran, was a comfortable third-round winner after dominating Seawright throughout.
Corcoran landed a succession of jabs in the opening round, but he really found his range in the second, firing punches to both the head and body as Seawright did his best to cover up.
But the veteran Midlander was sent reeling to the canvas in the third round and, although he got up, a renewed flurry of blows from Corcoran prompted referee Bob Williams to end the contest.
It was Corcoran’s second paid victory, following his debut points win over Billy Smith last November, and he will be aiming for a third when he fights again on March 16 at Wembley Arena.
The Frank Warren show is headlined by George Groves’ British super-middleweight title defence, a rematch against hard-hitting Scotsman Kenny Anderson.
Another ex-Dale Youth ABC star, Southern Area light-middleweight champion Steve O’Meara, is appearing on the same bill against former Commonwealth champion Bradley Pryce.
Hendon could soon be on the move again after signalling that they intend to leave Vale Farm at the end of next season.
