Hooks ABC will host their first show of the season at the Harrow Club on Friday night.

The fifth annual Luke Fitzpatrick Memorial Show, an open event, features a host of entertaining bouts.

The main event sees Hooks middleweight Obi Ekbunike defends his Amateur Southern Area title against Robbie Champman of the IQ club.

John Joe Nevin, who won bronze for Ireland at the 2012 Olympics, will be in attendance and Hooks coach Steve Newland anticipates a great night.

“Friday is a big night for us as boxing shows are the club’s main source of revenue,” said Newland.

“We have a packed programme with sponsorship and demand for tickets looking promising.”

Hooks prospect Jonathan O’Donnell, meanwhile, heads to Birmingham on Saturday for his National Junior Development final.

The 16-year-old O’Donnell comes up against Nathan Gransbury of the District Youth club from Tyne and Wear in a 70kg bout in the Midlands.
