Wembley boxer to fight the Hornet in Brisbane on December 13

Wembley welterweight Gary Corcoran will fight current WBO world champion Jeff Horn in December.

After weeks of negotiations between the pair, a date has finally been set, with ‘Hellraiser’ Corcoran travelling to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre for the bout on December 13.

Known as the Hornet, Horn won his world title in July when stunning eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao.

The fight in Brisbane will be Corcoran’s first for a world title, but the 26-year-old will head into it off the back of two straight wins.

Corcoran has won 17 of his 18 fights to date, with his only defeat coming in July last year against Liam Williams when challenging for the British title in Cardiff.

Horn has also has 17 wins from 18 fights, but is still unbeaten, with a draw against Rivan Cesaire back in August 2013 the only minor blemish on an otherwise perfect record.
