BAFA SFC Division Two semi-final: Wembley Stallions 33 Portsmouth Dreadnoughts 6

Wembley Stallions are through to the BAFA SFC Division Two final after a 33-6 win at home to Portsmouth Dreadnoughts on Sunday.

Despite the end result, it was Dreadnoughts who struck the first blow, running in a touchdown midway through the first quarter.

However, Stallions hit back at the end of the opening period through Martin Dwamema, with Nick Glenday adding the extras to put the hosts 7-6 up.

Wembley continued to pile on the pressure in the second quarter, with Glenday converting a field goal to extend their lead.

Junior Ejehu and Zoltan Kadar also ran in touchdowns during the second period as Stallions led 23-6 at half time.

Another Glenday field goal followed in the third quarter, before he added the extras to a Carl James touchdown in the final period to complete the scoring.

Victory secured promotion to Division One for Stallions, who face Berkshire Renegades in the final in Leeds on September 10, when a win will ensure Wembley go through the entire season with a 100 per cent record.
