Transfer news: DJ Campbell is set to return to QPR on Thursday and Harry Redknapp is delighted to welcome back a striker that he admits is coveted by a number of Championship clubs.
The 31-year-old has been on loan at Ipswich all season where he fired 10 goals in 16 appearances.
“I haven’t seen anything of DJ Campbell recently,” Redknapp said. “He did well while he was at Blackpool under Ian Holloway.
“Certainly lots of clubs in the Championship like him and I’ve had lots of phone calls from different managers in the Championship who would love to have him in their team.
“They tell me he’s a great lad as well so I’m pleased to have him back.”
QPR manager Harry Redknapp is hopeful that Luke Young will be fit enough to be part of his plans for next season.
