A sports centre in Sudbury is urging people to sign up for a charity swim.

Vale Farm Sports Centre, in Watford Road, is taking part in the World’s Biggest Charity Swim to raise money for Marie Curie, which supports those with terminal illnesses.

The Swimathon will take place over the weekend of April 7-9 allowing plenty of time to get sponsors.

This is the 30th year that the event has been held, and with the option to swim 1.5k, 2.5k or 5k, as an individual or as part of a team, it is a great opportunity for swimmers of all ages and abilities to get involved.

Chris Williams, Everyone Actice contract manager, said:”It’s always fantastic to see how many people turn up for the annual national Swimathon.

“Swimming is such a great form of low impact cardiovascular exercise, with many health benefits, and the Swimathon offers a challenge for every level of swimmer.”

Vale Farm is operated by Everyone Active in partnership with Brent Council,

To sign up, ring the centre on 020 8909 6545 or visit everyoneactive.com/event/swimathon-2017/.
