A new cinema for Wembley is set to open its doors on Thursday.
Cineworld will be part of the new London Designer Outlet, (LDO) the capital’s first and only outlet centre with 85 shops and 15 restaurants.
Films screened during Thursday’s opening will include Captain Philips, the incredible true story of the US ship seized by pirates in 2009.
To celebrate the launch, the cinema will also host a community day on October 29.
The day will give groups from schools, colleges and businesses a chance to see three special screenings of Turbo, Boss and The Fifth Estate.
Ben Hammond, Wembley Cineworld’s general manager, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be unveiling the cinema and bring a new entertainment experience to Wembley.
“It’s great to have been so warmly welcomed to the area and we hope that the local community enjoy the complementary community screenings. “With such an exciting line-up of films this autumn we look forward to sharing our passion for film with everyone in the local area.”
The new cinema features nine state-of-the-art digital screens including five screens with 3D capabilities and 1,795 seats including 35 D-box seats.
