Did you grow up in Douglas Road in Kilburn in the 1940s and 50s?

Do you recognise anyone from this picture? Do you recognise anyone from this picture?

If so you may remember a street party to celebrate the end of World War II which was attended by residents including nine-year-old Carl Bjorck.

Mr Bjorck moved to Scotland 50 years ago but will be returning to Kilburn to celebrate his 80th birthday and would love to be reunited with people he grew up with.

The street party was organised by his mother Anne Bjorck and her friends who also held another one to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.

Mrs Bjorck received a telegram from the Queen thanking her for her efforts.

Mr Bjorck will take a trip down memory lane with his son and daughter starting of at the Prince of Wales pub in Willesden Lane, where he had his first pint.

He also hopes to find his old school.
