A musical heavy weight is coming to Kilburn to launch a charity’s monthly jazz night.

Bassist Gary Crosby OBE, founder and artistic director of Tomorrow’s Warriors, will be performing at the Kingsgate Community Centre in Kingsgate Road from 8pm-10pm tomorrow evening.

The creator and leader of the legendary Jazz Jamaica, Crosby will be supported by guitarist Shirley Tetteh, an alumnus of Tomorrow’s Warriors, an organisation that grows jazz artists.

JAZZattheKingsgate is a monthly live Jazz night which will take place on the last Thursday of the month.

The fundraising initiative launched by members of the community centre promises to bring the best musicians artistes to the community for entertainment and education.

The evening is designed to showcase up and coming and also established musicians to keep music live.

Entrance costs £8 with tickets available at the community centre and at the door before the performance.
