A foul-mouthed teenager from Willesden convicted of a public order offence has been banned from hurling abusive in public for four years.

Fahaad Salaad, of Denzil Road, faces court action if he is discovered ‘behaving, in any public place in a manner which is likely to cause another to fear for their safety’ under the terms of an Asbo granted against him.

Brent Police took action to rein in the 18-year-old after he was caught with a metal bar at his feet after a 23-year-old man claimed he had threatened him during a fight in Churchmead Road, Willesden, in July this year.

Last week he was convicted of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour at Brent Magistrates Court.

In addition to the Asbo he was fined £75, ordered to pay £50 costs and £25 compensation to his victim.

Chief Inspector Andy Jones said: “This individual concerned should be warned that the police will stringently monitor the terms of this Asbo and that any breaches will be dealt with accordingly.”
