A Wembley pervert has narrowly avoided jail after sexually assaulting two students outside the SSE Arena.

Emmanuel Boadi, 20, of Tudor Court South, was sentenced to 16-months’ jail, suspended for a year on Friday after being found guilty of touching the women.

Harrow Crown Court heard that on February 3, a 19-year-old woman was walking past the SSE Arena in Engineers Way towards Wembley Park station at about 4.30pm when Boadi approached her.

He engaged her in conversation and asked for her name and phone number.

But when she refused he became aggressive and tried to force himself on her, kissing her on the neck and face without consent, police said.

Five days later at around 10pm, a 20-year-old woman was walking from Wembley Park station to her student digs and passed the SSE Arena.

She sped up when she saw Boadi approach her but he kept pace with her asking her where she was going. She said she was going home but he said “no you’re not,” and grabbed the back of her neck.

Preventing her from entereing her halls of residence he leant into her face and began kissing her cheek before she was able to get free and call the police.

Officers from Tokyngton Safer Neighbourhoods Team retrieved CCTV footage linking Boadi to the two attacks.

He was given an electronically-monitored curfew, from 9pm to 6am, for eight weeks, must sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for 10 years, and has been banned from the student halls of residence in Wembley Park.

Sergeant Toby Walton, of Wembley Central, Preston and Tokyngton SNTs, said: “The local community came forward in their droves to support this investigation and I am most grateful for their support.

“I would further like to thank both the victims for their bravery in securing this conviction. They worked with us to help prevent others from coming to harm and I hope they feel that today’s sentence represents some justice for their ordeal. I hope this shows any victim of sexual assault that they can report it to us and the Metropolitan Police Service will thoroughly investigate.”

PC Sophia Rathore, who led the investigation, added: “Mr Boadi is now on our radar and we hope this will limit his chances of committing further offences.

“The two victims stayed consistent throughout the investigation and during the Crown Court trial were asked challenging questions but remained dignified, strong and are a true credit to themselves and our community.”
