Three-year-old injured after gunshots reported in Neasden

A three-year-old child has been injured in an incident involving a reported gunshot at a property in Neasden.
Officers, including specialist Trident officers and London Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene at 8pm on December 12 following reports of a gunshot discharge, police said.
The child was taken to hospital and has since been discharged after being treated for a minor injury.
A spokesman from the police said: “Police were called at 8pm on Tuesday, December 12 to a residential address in Brent, NW2, following reports of a gunshot discharge.
“A three-year-old child inside the property received a superficial injury caused by debris that may have been caused by a bullet.
“The child was taken to a west London hospital as a precaution and was subsequently discharged having been treated for a minor injury.”
Officers from the Met’s Trident and Area Crime Command are investigating. There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
