A suspect burglar has been arrested after he gave a stolen cat to his mother as a Christmas present.

The 10-month-old moggy was snatched during a break-in at an address in Colindale just before midnight on Christmas Day.

Officers have bailed the 31-year-old man and the puss has been reunited with her 19-year-old female owner.
