Police were called to Churchill Road by medics just before 9.10pm and found a man with a “stab injury to his hand”.

The road was this afternoon still taped off while officers investigated. No arrests have been made.

One woman who lives in the area said police would only say it was a “family incident”.

And Digital Windows, a double glazing firm in Churchill Road, told the Times officers have not given details about what happened but have not been letting any cars past the cordon.
