A man has been charged with the murder of a 21-year-old who died four years after he was shot outside a hostel in Stonebridge.

Shaun Brown, 30, is due in court today accused of killing Garvey Thomas who was gunned down outside Livingstone House, Melville Road in June 2006.

Mr Thomas was left seriously injured and paralysed from the neck down.

He died from his injuries in August 2010.

A murder investigation was launched and yesterday Brown was charged.

He will appear before Croydon Magistrates’ Court.
