A man has been arrested for allegedly waving a machete around in a pub in Dollis Hill.

Police were called to reports of a man brandishing the large blade inside The Brent Tavern in Gladstone Park Gardens, yesterday afternoon.

By the time officers arrived at the scene the man had fled.

However a machete was found inside a car parked nearby and a 21-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon.

He is currently in police custody.
