A police investigation is underway after a 63-year-old man was shot in Stonebridge last night.

The victim was shot in his right foot in Hillside just before 11pm.

He was rushed to hospital where he is being treated for injuries that are not life-threatening or life-changing.

Officers from the Met’s Trident gang and command are investigating the shooting.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
