A 13-year-old boy is appearing in court today in connection with the kidnap and rape of a young teenager in Roe Green Park.

Police investigating a rape in the wooded area near the junction with Kingsbury Road and Roe Green at around 9am on Tuesday charged a 13-year-old boy who is appearing at Willesden Magistrate’s Court today.

The teenager has remained in custody since his arrest on Wednesday.

He has been charged with one count of rape of a male under 13, one count of causing or inciting a child under 13 into sexual activity and one count of kidnap, police said.

Officers from the Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command are investigating the incident and enquiries continue.
