Detectives in Brent have released CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a residential burglary in Mapesbury Road last month.

Police were called to the address shortly after 2pm on Tuesday, February 7.

As the occupant slept upstairs, CCTV footage captured a man hanging around outside the property.

After snacking on something to eat, he could then be seen sliding the patio door off its track and entering the ground floor.

Once inside, the suspect rummaged around for belongings and made off with a laptop, two briefcases and five bottles of alcohol.

He is described as a black man wearing a distinctive camouflage baseball cap with the word “PARIS” written on it in white.

The suspect also was also clad in a black hooded jacket and camouflage-style trousers with a white handkerchief in his back pocket.

Detective Constable Lucy Conway from Brent CID said: “We are keen to identify the man in the CCTV footage so we can speak to him about the incident. We would also urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us.”

Anyone with information or any witnesses are urged to call Brent CID on 020 8733 3747, tweet @MetCC or calls Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
