Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to the blaze in Spalding Road at 7.20am this morning.

Most of the trailer is alight. A number of propane cylinders are involved and crews are working to cool them as they can explode when exposed to heat, London Fire Brigade said.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

The A406 Brent Cross northbound off the slip road is closed.

Fire crews from Hendon and West Hampstead fire stations are at the scene.

The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
