Man arrested in St Thomas’s Road following an earlier attack

A man was dramatically caught by police in a resident’s back garden after attempting to flee a suspected assault in Harlesden.

The man, who was found with an injury to his arm, was arrested in St Thomas’s Road on suspicion of assault and possession of class A drugs after fleeing through a residential home following an earlier attack.

A witness on social networking site Twitter claimed the man, believed to be in his 30’s, had been stabbed but police were unable to confirm.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police confirmed they were called at around 3.30pm last Friday and the man was found with non-serious injury to his arm.

He added that they were not seeking the second man involved.
