A boy has been hit by a car in Kensal Rise this afternoon.

The child suffered a leg injury after he was struck by the vehicle in Chamberlayne Road at around 4.30pm.

His age and condition is unknown.

Calvin Robinson, a school teacher and political activist who lives on the busy thoroughfare, was at the scene and witnessed paramedics treating the boy.

He said: “They were there for several minutes before they took him to hospital in an ambulance.”A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 4.22pm to reports of a road traffic accident on Chamberlayne Road, Kensal Rise.

“We sent an ambulance crew and a single responder in a car, with the first of our medics arriving on scene in under four minutes.

A police spokeswoman told the Times they were unaware of an incident.
