Funeral of hit and run schoolboy Richie McDonagh

HUNDREDS of mourners turned up to bid a sad farewell to a schoolboy killed in a hit and run incident.
More than 500 people packed into St. Patrick’s Church on Hardie Close, Neasden, for the funeral of Richie McDonagh with a further 200 mourners spilling out onto the street.
The 11-year-old died after he was hit by two cars while crossing the North Circular Road in Neasden on November 29.
Detectives investigating the crash are still hunting for the driver of the first car who failed to stop after hitting Richie.
The motorist is believed to be a man who may have been driving an old model black BMW.
He sped off in the direction of Brent Cross.
Mourners, who travelled from Ireland and all over the UK, were joined by a number of dignitaries including a representive from the Irish Embassy.
