Borderlands

Acres of post-apocalyptic wasteland roll out before your battleworn, rusty rifle before a monowheel droid hands over a HUD display implant chip for monitoring health and bleeps that you should follow it.

Most notable, is the radical, manga-styled, hand drawn comic art that seamlessly blends beautifully rendered cut scenes into gameplay in a seamless, cinematic effect that immerses the gamer into a close approximation of a sci-fi animation film.

And the artwork is enhanced still further by a rich and deep fiction that touches upon the mysteries buried beneath the surface of a danger-filled planet.

After choosing a soldier, sniper, or a melee specialist, Borderlands offers a new sping on first-person action with player customisation and vehicle combat.

Choose from an arsenal of hundreds of weapons with unique manufacturers and specifications before you get behind the wheel for intense vehicle-to-vehicle combat and spectacular explosions.

First person action is coupled with role playing character progressions as players choose from one of four distinct characters, earn experience and gain proficiency in a number of battle specialties.

A generation system allows for near-endless variety in weapons and item drops and multiple players can share the same game experience simultaneously in online co-op.

Players can freely join or leave each other's games at anytime, or choose to play in the full single-player mode.
